NABI Lab
Network Analytics and Broadband Intelligence
Internet measurement and AI for equitable, resilient connectivity.
NABI Lab is the research group I hope to build in the future. Its focus is large-scale Internet measurement across fixed, mobile, and satellite broadband access networks, with an emphasis on digital equity, especially in the Global South.
Research Directions
- Independent assessment of Internet claims: Testing what ISPs, IP geolocation providers, and CDNs claim about coverage, performance, and location through independent measurement.
- Internet resilience: Uncovering the hidden infrastructure behind mobile, fixed, and satellite access, and attributing degradations to it.
- Community QoE for marginalized groups: Measuring connectivity experience at the community level, combining network measurement with participatory methods such as diary studies.
- AI for network understanding: Using language models to turn user diaries, complaints, and trouble reports into structured network insight, and to help operators diagnose problems and prioritize upgrades, with outputs validated by local communities.
